NYSC REITERATES RESOLVE TO ENSURE SAFETY IN ALL CAMPS

Management of the NYSC Scheme has reiterated its commitment to ensure medical safety and overall success in all its Orientation Courses in Camps nationwide as the Scheme commences the 2020 Batch B stream 1(A) Orientation Course.
This was made known by the State Coordinator, Mr Eddy Megwa in a series of meetings with all members of staff and that with heads of collaborating agencies on November 7, 2020 at the State Secretariat Surulere Lagos.

He informed both gatherings that the stipulations of the Directorate headquarters on Covid-19 has dictated that all Camp Officials and Corps members must undergo the Covid-19 test before admission into the various Camps and that Covid-19 protocols must also be strictly adhered to throughout the duration of the Orientation Course.
Further to this, Eddy Megwa informed all Officials that admission into the Camp  irrespective of status, mission or intent inside the camp ground is not allowed except for those on essential duties and very critical assignments. They must also be ready to undergo rapid covid-19 test as the case may be, he added.
The Coordinator emphasized the Director General's stance on over socialization, over- fraternization including corrupt enrichment in the course of duties and warned that such misconduct will not be condoned in all ramifications.
Mr Megwa enjoined course officials to take adequate care of electrical and plumbing installations in the interest of all and finally encouraged Course officials to always educate corps members on the need to consider and handle  infrastructures  as their personal  belongings.
Finally, he wished all Course officials and prospective Corps members a very resounding orientation exercise in the 2020 Batch B Orientation Course.
