The Deputy Director, Legal Unit, from the NYSC headquarters Abuja ,Barrister Mrs. Nwanua Ukagha has sensitized all corps members on the NYSC act.
She revealed this on Wednesday December 11th 2019, explaining that it's the right of all corps members to have adequate knowledge about the scheme and what it entails.
Barr. Ukagha advocated that all corps members should take their service year seriously and try not to abscond during their service year to another country. She sternly warned that any form of truancy would be appropriately dealt with according to the laws of the scheme adding that it's very important for all corps to fully conclude their service year.
Mrs. Ukagha also assured corps members that the local government they're posted to would be accountable for their safety and security in the course of the service year.
She concluded by highlighting the need for corps members to put in their best during their service year, as it's is an avenue to be retained in their place of primary assignment.
