He disclosed this today ,during his speech at the National Youth Service Corps Lagos camp where he explained to the corps members how the scheme helps them to build an adaptive system to cope anywhere in the world.
He further emphasized on the need for Nigerian government as a whole to focus and invest in the youth because that's where the future lies, adding that it's the foundation for a better tomorrow.
Hon. Sunday assured the corps members that he is focused on the youth and he has devised various ways in which they would be empowered during their service year. Empowering programmes like the Skill Acquisition Entrepreneur Development programme that is ongoing and the Digital Skills programme which would commence from next year.
He also said he's poised that thirty thousand allawee would begin next year because the bill has been approved by the National Assembly, just waiting for the final approval of the president.
Hon. Sunday added that he was disappointed to know that the National Youth Service Corps Lagos camp is still situated on the temporary site and promised that the necessary steps would be taken to aid the movement to the permanent site.
He concluded by calling on all corps members to be an ambassador against corruption, stressing that he and his team are working towards generating an app for the security of Corps members.
