COVID-19: Corps Members Make Palliative Donation At Ikeja 1 Local Government Area

In a bid to ameliorate the sufferings of the local community during this COVID-19 pandemic, Corps Members serving in the Ikeja 1 Local Government Area, today made a substantial donation of palliative food items to the grassroot citizens in the area.
The State Coordinator, Mr. Eddy Megwa, while presenting the items on behalf of the Corps Members to the Chairman of the Local Government Council, Hon. Engr. Mojeed Balogun, said that this was a way the Corps Members could contribute their quota by giving back to their host community, in what has become a very difficult and distressing time for many people.
He commended the Corps Members for the gallant strides they achieved in seeing this through.
The State Coordinator also seized the opportunity to address members of the local community on Coronavirus and how they can help in combating the virus by doing their little bit of washing their hands regularly and  keeping a high level of hygiene while also engaging the Local Government Chairman on how operations of the Scheme can be better in the Area.
