The Lagos State National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Coordinator, Mr. Eddy Megwa has congratulated staff of the scheme in the state on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast and the Eid al- Fitr celebration.
Megwa felicitated with the staff of NYSC Lagos and their families in his end of Ramadan message which reads:
"Our Dear Muslim Brothers and Sisters,
"This is wishing you all a Happy Eid al- Fitr celebrations with your lovely families to commemorate the end of your Ramadan fasting.
" I am particularly touched that this year's end of fasting celebrations, for all muslims is once again coming up at a period the entire nation and the world is at war with an unseen enemy Covid-19. We can only pray for God's earnest intervention for the restoration of normalcy, so we can mark these celebrations as we usually do.
"Nonetheless, all glory must go to the Almighty for counting us to be among the living today, as many have gone amid this deadly pandemic, but yes it is by His grace that we are still alive, strong and healthy today.
"After a successful period of fasting, May I also use this medium to commend you for your dedication and commitment to your duties despite the evident challenges we face in this unprecedented times of Coronavirus Pandemic. I am particularly impressed with your commitment and zeal to attain excellence in your various call to duty. I indeed salute all of you.
"On behalf of my lovely family in far away Abuja, once again as you celebrate Eid Mubarak, may the blessings of God lighten up your way and lead you and your families through Happiness, Success and Peace.
"Happy Eid Mubarak to my dear Excellent Staff.'
