The highly anticipated man-o-war drill for platoon one and four held today at the man-o-war training ground within the hours of 3pm to 6pm.
Corp Members from the aforementioned platoons were dressed in their khakis and camera men were on standby to take pictures of corp as they went through the various obstacles. Platoon members present were advised to pay attention to the message behind the various obstacles. These obstacles were likened to the obstacles young people go through in life, some are big, some are small and others require teamwork to overcome.
The ladies from platoon four refused to be left behind, majority of them went through all the obstacles and tears were not present in the training ground. The training ground was filled with laughter and smiles as people struggled to go through obstacles; garments were torn in a bid to so. A corp member described today's man-o-war drill as "Exhilarating" and another crop member describe the drill as "Education".
The drill was closed with an admonition from a Man-o-war official who advised Corp Members to remember the lessons from the obstacles. Also, Corp Members were asked to adopt perseverance, confidence and patience in their lives, as these qualities are needed to go through life's obstacles in order to emerge victorious.
