The Lagos State National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Coordinator, Mr Eddy Megwa has charged Corps members and staff to comply with the directives of the government to contain the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the state.
The state coordinator, who disclosed this in a statement said corps members undergoing their place of primary assignment with the Lagos State Government should adhere with the Governor's "Sit at Home" directives.
He said, in line with the government's directives and NYSC management's effort in combating the spread and control of coronavirus, there would be no biometric clearance/submission of clearance documents for the month of April and May.
Megwa added that the modalities for the monthly allowance payment to corps members would be arranged by the ND.
The NYSC boss noted that all Zonal and Local Government Inspectors are to ensure corps members are adequately guided accordingly, while all members of staff are to comply with the measures and directives.
He continued: "Staff and Corps members are advised to continue to take relevant health safety measures in preventing and controlling the spread of the virus.
Stay at home as much as possible, observe regular washing of hands with soap and water, regular use of alcohol-based sanitizers, wearing of face masks and hand gloves, practice social distancing, self-isolate immediately you feel unwell and call for medical help."
