NYSC LAGOS CELEBRATES 47TH ANNIVERSARY THROUGH PALLIATIVE DISTRIBUTION AT AMUWO ODOFIN LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA

The NYSC Lagos Team, led by the indefatigable State Coordinator- *Mr. Eddy Megwa* marked the 47th Anniversary of the NYSC scheme by visiting Amuwo Odofin Local Government Council.

The State Coordinator arrived the premises of the Local Government council in Festac Town, alongside his entourage and quickly engaged the Chairman of the Council - *Engr. Valentine Buraimoh* in a brief courtesy visit in his office.

The State Coordinator was pleased to inform the Chairman that the scheme immensely appreciates the support his administration is constantly lending to Corps members under the Local Government Area.

Both dignitaries later led their respective teams to the venue of the 47th Anniversary and Palliative distribution exercise. In his remarks, the State Coordinator, NYSC Lagos once again commended the efforts of the Corps members in joining their colleagues across the state, who have similarly contributed to the fight against COVID-19 in 11 other Local Government areas where similar events have taken place previously.

The State Coordinator , however highlighted that theirs was even more special as it coincides with the 47th year anniversary of the Scheme.

The Chairman of the Council, whilst receiving the palliative items congratulated the Staff and entire Corps Members of the scheme in Lagos and acknowledged that it was really a Nobel effort all round.
