NYSC Lagos Pays Condolence Visit To Family Of Late Gen. Momoh

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Lagos State Coordinator, Mr. Eddy Megwa led a team of staff as well as Corps members to pay a condolence visit to the family of the late former Director – General of the NYSC, Major -General Hafiz Momoh.
   The State Coordinator and his team, who visited the family of the late Momoh at their residence in Lagos, sympathised and expressed their deepest condolences, describing his death as a great loss to the NYSC Scheme and Nigeria as a whole.
Megwa who prayed to God to repose the soul of the deceased, said the late Momoh will always be remembered as a dynamic and highly charismatic officer who initiated a lot of positive changes during his tenure as Director – General, thus deepening the relevance and contributions of the Scheme to the overall national development, particularly at the grassroots.
He however, prayed to God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the pain of the loss of their loved one.
Momoh, who died on April 25, 2020 and buried on April 26, 2020, served as Director – General from 1990 to 1994 and was the 6th Chief Executive of the NYSC  Scheme.
