The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has pledged to support the Lagos State National Youth Service Corps in the training of Corps members during their service year.
The State Sector Commander, Olusegun Ogungbemide pledged the support during the visit of the NYSC management led by the State Coordinator, Mr. Eddy Megwa.
Ogungbemide who appreciated the visit, said the FRSC and NYSC have been in collaboration from the onset to ensure the success of the scheme.
He recalled that the pioneers of the FRSC were corps members selected from the NYSC orientation camp.
The FRSC boss in Lagos said there has been no discrimination in the agency as corps members of the Road Safety Club are part of the FRSC as they undertake various projects during their service year.
He noted that corps members as the third arm of the FRSC, are given lectures at the orientation camp and recruited into the Corps.
Speaking earlier, Megwa appreciated the FRSC for the relationship with the NYSC, adding that the Federal Road Safety Corps is one of NYSC's strong collaborative agencies.
Megwa noted that corps members are always excited to join the Road Safety Community Development Group.
He appealed that while the lockdown eases, with the CDS activities expected to resume, the FRSC should continue with the training of corps members.
