DIGITALIZATION OF CORPS REGISTRY

Members of the Evaluation CDS group have developed a digital based solution software that would resolve daily problems of unproductivity and inefficiency experienced by staff of the National Youth Service Corps and corps members in Lagos State.
The Project Initiator/Team lead, Egbuna Chimezie Donatus (LA/19B/0744), said in this age of digitization and automated
processes; computer software has provided solutions to a vast number
of problems, which leads to faster and more efficient workflow in organizations.
Donatus and his team members, Ifediora Dickson Chidubem (LA/19A/0319) and
Osuamadi Ezinne (LA/19A/1572) who are now ex - corps members, explained that the software provides a platform where all file movements and processes can be easily recorded and indexed for speedy file location search.

He added that the software also keeps stock of each file’s history, pinpoints fraud and eliminates the issue of temporary transfer files, which induces data redundancy.
Commending the project, the Lagos State
Coordinator, Mr. Eddy Megwa said the corps members have proved that the future of this country as well as the solutions to its problems is dependent on the youths.
He added that the corps members have also shown that today’s graduates are employable as against the norm that they lack employability skills.
He, however, urged the corps members serving in the state not to
relent in exploring their skill in ensuring that they provide workable
solutions to the problems facing the country.
