NYSC LAGOS TAKES HIRD TO AGBOWA COMMUNITY

The quiet community of Ikosi Ejirin, Agbowa today benefited from the 2020 Health Initiative For Rural Dwellers organized by the state Secretariat.

The team led by the State Coordinator, Mr Eddy Megwa, some principal officers of the scheme,  Corps medical  Personnel were warmly received at the palace of HRM Oba Aderibigbe Asumo (Jamade 1) of Odo Ayandelu Kingdom, Ikosi  Ejirin in Agbowa Local Government Area.
In his address at the flag off, Megwa thanked HRM for the warm welcome accorded them.
 He expressed his appreciation to the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu for the approval and construction of NYSC Permanent Orientation camp in the community.
He added that with the siting of the NYSC Permanent Orientation camp in the area, a lot of  development will come to the community.
Megwa promised that henceforth more medical out reaches will be carried out periodically to further improve health care at the grassroots, adding that the figure of corps members posted to the community will be  increased so as to contribute to the development of the area.
The State Coordinator thanked HRM and his council members for accepting to partner with the scheme in the state.

Responding, HRM, Oba Aderibigbe thanked the State government and NYSC for chosing his community to site the NYSC Permanent Orientation camp.
 He expressed delight to the state Coordinator for the Medical outreach in his Community as this gesture would have a positive impact on the people of the community. 
HRM, who ascended the throne in year 2010 informed the state coordinator that a three bedroom flat has been built for corps members that will be posted to the community for their national service.
Oba Asumo added that siting the NYSC permanent camp will greatly develop the community. 

He thanked the scheme for the partnership and looks forward to having the presence of the NYSC in his community.
