The NYSC Lagos State Coordinator, Eddy Megwa has appreciated the state Government for supporting issues that concerns the NYSC in the state as well as being one of the sustainable corps employers in the state.
He made the statement when he paid a courtesy visit to the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Mudashiru Obasa.
Megwa also commended the state government for the permanent orientation camp at Ikorodu where work on parameter fencing is ongoing.
The state coordinator further added that the NYSC will not relent in taming the tide of the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic, just as it contributed in curtailing the first wave of the deadly virus through donation of food items and production of facemasks, hand sanitizers, antibacterial wash which were distributed across communities in the state.
He used the opportunity to request the Hon. Speaker to see what he can do in the orientation camp to better the confort of corps members and camp officials so as to have a first hand information on the facilities at the orientation camp.
Responding, Hon. Mudashiru Obasa commended the Coordinator, his team and corps members for their contribution towards taming the tide of the coronavirus pandemic.
He promised to visit the camp, while assuring that the state government will continue to create an enabling environment for the NYSC in the state and ensure that Corps members have a memorable experience during their service year.
