The NYSC Lagos State Coordinator, Mr. Eddy Megwa has commissioned a locally fabricated covid-19 disinfectant booth at the NYSC Lagos state temporary orientation camp on Monday, 18th January 2021.
According to the state coordinator, the machine is very important at this critical period as it will ensure that all course participants are covid 19 free.
He wished that other states would have this important equipment in no distant time.
Speaking at the commissioning, corps members Ibrahim Bashiru and Sanusi Adam said the machine is capable of recognising the user, record the user's data and also disinfect the user.
All camp officials, marketers and prospective corps members must after going through the covid -19 test pass through the disinfectant booth before entering the orientation camp.
The machine was financed, constructed and donated to NYSC Lagos by the 2019 Batch 'C' and 2020 Batch A' corps members from Mushin Local Government Area.
It is important to note that these corps members at the heat of the pandemic last year, constructed and donated a covid -19 sample collection boot to the scheme in Lagos.
