As part of her working visit to Lagos State, the Director, Press and Public Relations NDHQ, Mrs Adenike Adeyemi today visited The Sun Newspaper where she enlightened the media on the new normal in the NYSC.
She said the scheme has been working closely with the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) especially during orientation exercises.
All camp officials and prospective corps members must go through the Covid 19 test before entering the camp and those who test positive are handed over the NCDC officials for treatment.
She added that the NYSC as a proactive scheme always works round the clock to have seamless orientation exercises.
The Director emphasized that one of the Director General's focal point is safety first.
On Skills Acquisition, the Director said corps members are trained on various skills during the orientation and continue with post camp training in order to become entrepreneurs.
The Editor, daily, Sun Newspaper, Mr. Iheanachor Nwoso thanked the Director for the visit and promised to continue with the cordial relationship with the NYSC.
In a similar Development, Mrs. Adeyemi also paid a visited to The Nation Newspaper.
The visit she said was to increase the awareness and relationship between both organizations.
She urged them to always get clarification on any grey area from the NYSC before publishing their stories.

On the entourage of the Director were the NYSC Lagos State Coordinator, Mr. Eddy Megwa, AD, NYSC Southwest Mega Printing Press, Mrs. Olusoji, AD, PPRU, Lagos State, Joyce Madaki, AD Special Duties, Mr. Adegboyega Killa and Personal Assistant to the state coordinator, Mr. Omololu George.
